Privacy policy
What we collect
- Contact details you give us when booking a consultation or creating a portal account: name, email, phone, country.
- Company-formation information you provide so we can deliver our services: passport and ID copies, proof of address, business details, and documents you upload to the client portal.
- Mail addressed to your company at our address, which we receive, log and scan on your instruction, and email sent to our addresses.
- Technical basics needed to run the site securely (such as IP addresses in server logs).
How we use it
- To provide our services: company formation, bank and payment-processor introductions, office and mail services, compliance and renewals.
- To share with the authorities, banks, free zones and payment providers involved in your setup — only as needed for your application and with your knowledge.
- To contact you about your consultation, your company and renewals. We don't sell your data, and we don't send marketing you didn't ask for.
Where it lives
Portal data and documents are stored with Cloudflare (database and file storage), protected by access controls; passwords are never stored in plain text and portal login uses one-time email codes. Site media is served from Pexels; fonts from Google Fonts.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law (such as compliance records for companies we administer). Write to hello@maktib.com.
Terms of service
Who we are
Maktib is an independent business-setup consultancy based in the UAE. We are not a bank, a payment processor, a law firm or a government authority.
Our services
- We advise on and arrange UAE company formation, corporate bank account applications, payment-processor applications, office, address and mail services, and ongoing compliance and renewals.
- Approvals are never guaranteed. Trade licenses, bank accounts, visas and merchant accounts are approved or declined at the sole discretion of the relevant authority, bank or provider. Their fees may apply in addition to ours.
- Our published package price (USD 8,479 for the Dubai Business Setup & 1 Residency Visa package) is all-in for the scope itemised on the site, for one person; anything outside that scope is quoted separately and confirmed before you pay. Government fee receipts are provided upon payment. Promotional waivers (such as waived visa fees) apply while advertised.
Your responsibilities
- Give us true, complete information and documents. Applications are submitted with accurate information only — we do not help conceal processing history, identities or beneficial ownership.
- Use your company, accounts and our address lawfully, and stay responsible for your business's own tax, legal and regulatory obligations.
Mail & address service
We receive and log mail and parcels addressed to your company, and act on your instruction (scan, forward, hold or shred). We may refuse items that are unlawful, dangerous or not addressed to your company.
Liability
We will perform our services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the service concerned, and we are not liable for decisions made by authorities, banks or payment providers, nor for indirect losses such as lost profits.
Trademarks
Bank, payment-provider, platform and government names and logos on this site belong to their owners and identify the institutions we work with; they do not imply endorsement.
Changes & law
We may update these terms and this policy; the latest version is always at maktib.com/legal.html. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
